Aspida are seeking an exceptional individual to assist us in administering and providing technical guidance on a designated portfolio of trust and pension clients. These structures operate within established controls, guidelines, and procedures.
This multifaceted role involves a blend of skills to effectively manage client portfolios and contribute to the organisation’s success.
You will need to hold a relevant professional certification with over a decade of experience, preferably in pensions. Be proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook, have strong communication, analytical skills, detail-oriented, be able to establish positive relationships, work well under pressure, and organise tasks effectively.
Key responsibilities include:
- Technical Guidance: Provide expertise in establishing and administering international wealth structures (including trusts, companies and pensions). Optimise client wealth requirements for asset protection, inheritance protection, and corporate and personal tax efficiency.
- Client Portfolios: Maintain and manage client portfolios and data, ensuring high-quality, professional day-to-day client service whilst attending to clients’ needs in a timely manner.
- Client-Centric Approach: Ensure that clients have a positive experience at every touchpoint, from the first interaction to ongoing service delivery.
- Client Relations: Strengthen existing relationships and generate new business opportunities by meeting with clients and professional advisors.
- Problem Solving: Formulate solutions to client-related issues providing proactive and effective solutions for yourself and the Fiduciary. Escalate issues when necessary.
- Meetings: Attend meetings with clients and where required their advisors including bankers, lawyers, accountants, agents, or consultants and liaise on client matters in line with, and as determined by any service level agreements in place.
- Transaction Coordination: Co-ordinate mandate specific transactions in a timely manner with bankers, lawyers, accountants, agents, or consultants.
- Compliance: Ensure work adheres to internal and regulatory practices and procedures, maintaining accurate data and due diligence whilst ensuring core systems are up-to-date.
- Customer Due Diligence: Review and sign off on Customer Due Diligence processes.
- Statutory Records: Maintain necessary statutory records and handle statutory filings with relevant company registries.
- Client Reviews: Conduct periodic/trigger event reviews of designated clients on a regular basis in line with the client risk assessment and fiduciary review process.
- Task Management: Ensure action points from Client Risk and Fiduciary reviews as well as other tasks are dealt with within required timeframes.
- Client Profitability: Maximise client profitability and assist the Head of Client Services in the management of clients in a way that encourages client retention and growth.
- Cash Collection: Efficiently manage cash collection and debtor control for assigned portfolios, and escalate in accordance with adopted policy.
- Correspondence: Handle written correspondence related to assigned portfolios.
- Client Onboarding: Deliver effective client acceptance and onboarding in line with internal procedures and risk reviews.
- Document Preparation: Prepare accurate minutes, legal correspondence, trust, corporate, and transaction documents.
- Financial Liaison: Collaborate with finance regarding financial statements, accounts, and debtor management, ensuring timely review and response.
- Prescribed Position: Hold a Prescribed Position with the Guernsey Financial Services Commission.
- Payment Authorisation: Authorise client payments following established procedures.
- Authorised Signatory: Act as an Authorised Signatory ‘A’ status and an appropriately appointed delegate of board appointed committees.
- Supervision and Training: Provide supervision, training, and technical guidance to colleagues.
- Leadership and Motivation: Motivate and mentor staff, actively engaging them to achieve results and foster organisational culture.
- Business Development Support: Actively support business development efforts through sales targets and delivery of material and new business leads.
- Time Management: Meet deadlines for assigned portfolios and workload, accurately recording time and ensuring adherence with regulatory requirements.
What We’re Looking For:
- Relevant professional certification
- 10+ years of experience (pensions experience preferable)
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Detail-oriented and able to build positive relationships
