The Regulatory Compliance Challenges for 2023: The Importance of Horizon Scanning
Our Compliance Associate, Alexander Richards, provides a summary on the importance of Horizon Scanning for organisations
Horizon scanning is the process of a business detecting, analysing and assessing emerging developments, trends and threats. Horizon scanning is an important process allowing compliance to be achieved, as regulatory risks and change occurs.
Utilising a less reactive, more proactive approach to deal with upcoming regulatory and risk challenges, particularly where the speed and scalability of change eg. In Sanctions Compliance has increased (expected to increase further in 2023), will provide a significant advantage in future business planning.
The International Compliance Association has stated that horizon scanning will be crucial for meeting the challenges identified for 2023.
Here at Aspida, we conduct Horizon Scanning from a variety of renowned sources for potential risk and legislation changes in:
- Regulatory Compliance
- Information Security; and
- Corporate Governance developments
