John joined Aspida as part of the Trainee Programme during its third intake and has offically passed the ICA GRC Diploma, graduating from the Trainee Programme in 2024.

He previously successfully completed the ICA’s Certificate in Regulatory Compliance and the ICA’s International Advanced Certificate in Regulatory Compliance.

John graduated with honours in BSc Exercise and Sport Sciences from Exeter University. Alongside his studies he was part of an Officer Training Corps passing modules A and B of the reserve Sandhurst Commissioning short course along with passing an Officer Briefing at AOSB Westbury.

Throughout his time at Aspida, John has developed and focused on various compliance specific activities such as carrying out Compliance Monitoring Programmes, testing a range of business’ policies and procedures as well as their operating effectiveness and has continued to perform sanctions screening and transaction monitoring.

John has also been involved as a crucial role-player in a range of project work, spanning across a wide range of areas, which include corporate governance, legal investigations, and client risk reviews.
