Investment Operations Officer

Due to continued growth we are looking for an Investment Operations Officer with at least 4 years experience to support one of our family office clients, managing the operations of a designated portfolio of entities and structures.

Key Duties:

  • Management of assigned client portfolio, including the placing of investment transactions, following through to settlement.
  • Ensure Statutory filings completed within deadlines.
  • Ensure Regulatory and tax filings complete within appropriate timeframes.
  • Co-ordination of mandate specific transactions with bankers, lawyers, accountants, agents or consultants.
  • Ensure work is conducted in adherence to internal and regulatory practices and procedures.
  • Active involvement in enhancements to workflows and processes.
  • Written correspondence for client entities.
  • Effective cash collection and control of debtors for client entities, ensuring all fees collected within 60 days.
  • Assistance with preparing or updating relevant material and action points for client meetings.
  • Escalate issues for effective solution.
  • Ensure that client payments and bank reconciliations are undertaken in a timely fashion.
  • Other ad-hoc tasks as and when required.
  • Working closely with London based investment advisor
  • Review and confirmation of portfolio NAVs with respective client administrators  
  • Maintaining investment positions on a bespoke Portfolio Management System
  • Involved in the development of the Portfolio Management System
  • Assisting with client audits
  • Monitoring group mailboxes

Skills and Experience

  • 4+ years’ experience in investment operations or related fields (e.g. global custody, fund administration, asset management).
  • Knowledge of multiple asset classes and the trade cycle of a variety of investment products
  • Knowledge of private equity would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Familiar with aspects of performance measurement.
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft products
  • Ideally working towards or holds a relevant professional qualification.
  • Strong communication, analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Work under pressure, independently, effectively prioritise, manage time & workload to meet clients’ needs.
  • Proactive, motivated, team player with a flexible attitude to complete additional tasks.
