Aspida staff volunteer their time at The Accidental Zoo!

Aspida were so pleased to be able to assist The Accidental zoo with their preparations for their upcoming open days as part of our local CSR contributions and demonstrates our commitment to the environment and community.

Our teams worked very hard over two days to help them dig a 4’ soak away for the hand washing station, deconstruct the spare emu house, build roughly 18 benches, build up the area around the duck pond, cleared away stinging nettles, brambles and thistles, moved logs, pine cones, woodchip, spare pallets and heras panels, stripped Christmas trees for children to make into crafts, built Tortoise runs, created steps, painted duckling and chicken coops, swept up sheep poo and of course fed the baby lambs and calves!

Take a look at our photos of the Aspida team in action doing their bit for the community on our Facebook page.

Everyone was rewarded with an ice-cream, cake and certificate and we are looking forward to our next CSR event!
