Aspida kicks off a new series of webinars
Across May and June join us for a new series of interactive webinars focused on hot topics in financial services.
No surprise, we’ll be kicking off with themes surrounding the hottest topic of all – the impact of COVID-19 and what we can learn from this unprecedented crisis.
We’re keen to provide webinars, and wider advisory resources, on topics of interest (or concern) to clients so please let us know your thoughts. You can email suggestions to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Guernsey - a resilient regime?
Thursday 28th May I 11am
Guernsey has proved its worth in the challenging period of the COVID-19 outbreak and is well placed to ride out of lockdown in a stronger position than most. In this webinar we discuss what makes Guernsey such a strong and stable jurisdiction, how it performs against other regimes in the ordinary – and how it has outperformed others in these extraordinary times.
We’ll be joined in our discussions by Guernsey Finance. Aspida’s Steve Cuddihee and Richard Bray, our resident expert on Fund Administration and Management, will host the event.
Building Business Resilience
Thursday June 4th I 11am
The COVID-19 outbreak has exposed a lack of business resilience in some firms, yet at the same time has highlighted the resilience of others. What key weak points have been exposed, and how do firms build resilience for the future? What stand-out examples of best practice have there been, and what lessons can firms learn from this crisis to better shield their businesses in the longer term?
And what exactly does the regulator expect to see businesses put in place in terms of organisational resilience?
Aspida Chairman Wayne Bulpitt will be joined by Head of Business Advisory Simon Walker and Ben Morgan, Partner and head of the corporate and finance group at Carey Olsen, to lead this interactive session and give our best advice on building business resilience.
Our Head of Financial Crime, Mark Chammings provides a summary on the latest GFSC conference details.
Sustainable Finance Week is an opportunity to both reflect and look forward on sustainable finance strategies and regulation. The topics were extremely broad, covering global and local scales. Our Business Analyst Jessica Regnard looks at the key takeaways.
